Where is Mykonos?

Mykonos is a Greek island located in the southern part of the Aegean Sea and belongs in the Cyclades complex. The island lies in close proximity to the islands of Tinos, Paros, Naxos, Syros.

The island spans an area of 85.5 square kilometres (33.0 sq mi) and rises to an elevation of 341 metres (1,119 feet) at its highest point. There are 10,134 inhabitants (2011 census), most of whom live in the largest town of Mykonos, also known as Chora, which lies on the west side.


When to visit Mykonos and for how many days?

While Mykonos has started expanding the tourist season to cover several more months of the year, the most ideal time to visit the cosmopolitan Cycladic island stands from May to mid September. The weather in Mykonos can be considered at its finest, with hot days and summer winds providing the equilibrium to the summer temperatures.
It is being suggested that staying for 2-4 days is nice when you’re choosing to keep a tight schedule, although, 6-7 days can work out like a charm as the island’s pleasures will enhance your vacation in the Aegean.
